10th Egyptian-Lebanese High Joint Committee Session Concludes with 15 Agreements Signed

Doha: The 10th session of the Egyptian-Lebanese High Joint Committee concluded on Sunday, chaired by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and his Lebanese counterpart, Nawaf Salam. During the session, 15 agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and executive programs were signed in fields such as economy and trade, transportation, higher education, agriculture, energy, finance, public administration, environment, administrative development, industrial cooperation, and consumer protection, along with efforts to bolster cooperation among the two countries' regulatory bodies.

According to Qatar News Agency, at the conclusion of the meetings, both sides held a joint press conference where they emphasized the strong ties between the two countries and their commitment to developing these relations to serve mutual interests. The Egyptian Prime Minister reaffirmed Egypt's unwavering support for the Lebanese government's efforts in maintaining Lebanon's stability and territorial integrity. He also condemned Israel's recent actions in southern Lebanon and urged for an Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories.

The Egyptian Prime Minister pledged Egypt's support for Lebanon in reconstruction and development projects in southern Lebanon once the occupied areas are regained. Meanwhile, the Lebanese Prime Minister highlighted discussions on issues affecting citizens' daily lives, covering energy, water, higher education and research, healthcare, agriculture, environment, technology, transportation, and sustainable development, alongside the signing of multiple agreements and MoUs.
