Gaza city: 34 Palestinians were martyred and others wounded Friday as a result of airstrikes and shelling carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on various areas of the Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian Civil Defense reported that its crews recovered the bodies of 18 martyrs following Israeli shelling since this morning on the Zeitoun and Shujaiya neighborhoods east of Gaza City.
The sources said that the occupation forces withdrew from some areas in Shujaiya and Zeitoun, prompting some residents to attempt to reach their homes, but the occupation forces targeted them with drones and gunfire from vehicles stationed on the eastern outskirts of the city.
They added that 14 martyrs were killed when the occupation forces targeted security personnel and those waiting for aid in the northwest of the Gaza Strip.
Two people were martyred and others injured in a bombing of a residential house in the Al-Faluja area, west of Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
A number of Palestinians were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house near the Nasser Medical Complex west of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
Israel resumed its aggression on Gaza after violating the ceasefire agreement on March 18, following a two-month hiatus, targeting various areas of the Strip.
