Doha: An earthquake measuring 5.4 magnitude on the Richter scale struck on Monday Tonga in the South Pacific Ocean. The earthquake occurred 74 km south of ?Ohonua village, at a depth of 10 km, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
According to Qatar News Agency, Tonga is an archipelago of 176 islands scattered in the South Pacific Ocean, of which only 52 are inhabited, located northwest of New Zealand and Australia.
