Solomon islands: An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean Sunday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter was located 93 kilometers southeast of Kirakira, at a depth of 38.5 kilometers.
The Solomon Islands are located in a seismically active region.
