58th Session of Higher Coordination Committee Highlights AI and Societal Challenges

Amman: The 58th session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action convened in Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was hosted by the Association of Arab Universities (AArU) and featured the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit. He highlighted the influence of artificial intelligence and the digital revolution as pivotal factors in the global economy. Additionally, Aboul Gheit addressed the ongoing challenges related to narcotics, emphasizing its impact on societal security, the health of Arab youth, and labor efficiency.

Aboul Gheit underscored the importance of the coordination committee for Joint Arab Action, noting its role in enhancing integration among specialized Arab organizations. He praised the progress made over the past decade in improving coordination and efficiency at all levels.

As the session concluded, Aboul Gheit extended his gratitude to the AArU for its preparation and organization of the committee's work. He acknowledged its significant contribution since 1964 in strengthening the path of Arab universities and their academic programs.
