Doha: In a historic step aimed at enhancing women's participation in sports, the Qatar Volleyball Association held on Sunday evening the draw for the first official women's volleyball league, following the organization of an open tournament in the 2023/2024 season. According to Qatar News Agency, the draw was attended by coaches from the participating clubs, including Al Arabi, Al Rayyan, Qatar SC, Al Ahli, Al Khor, and a university team to be selected later. Hussein Imam, the technical expert of the Qatar Volleyball Association, also attended the draw ceremony. The event was conducted in a distinguished organizational atmosphere, reflecting the Qatar Volleyball Association's commitment to providing a competitive sports environment aimed at supporting female players and developing women's volleyball in Qatar. This initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030, which focuses on empowering women in all fields.
