Milan: AC Milan announced Monday the signing of Croatian star Luka Modric for one season, following the end of his career with Real Madrid. The club has confirmed that Modric, who is 39 years old, has signed a contract that extends until June 30, 2026. There is also an option to extend the contract for an additional season, which would run until June 30, 2027.
According to Qatar News Agency, this contract follows Modric's departure from Real Madrid, where he concluded his time by playing in the team's final matches at the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States. Modric's departure marks the end of a notable 13-year tenure at Real Madrid, during which he amassed 26 titles. This achievement sets him apart as the most successful player in the history of the Spanish club.
