Doha: The semi-final matches of HH the Amir Cup handball tournament for the 2025-2026 season are scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday. The first match will feature Al Arabi competing against Al Gharafa, while the second match will see Al Duhail face off against Al Rayyan.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Arabi secured their spot in the semi-finals by defeating Al Sadd 31-25, whereas Al Gharafa advanced after a 27-21 victory over Al Ahli. Al Duhail qualified by overcoming Qatar SC with a score of 36-27, and Al Rayyan moved forward after beating Al Wakrah 27-23.
Al Duhail is the defending champion, having claimed the HH the Amir Cup handball title last season by defeating Al Arabi 29-27 in the final. Historically, Al Sadd holds the record for the most wins in the tournament, having captured the title eight times. They are followed by Al Ahli and Al Duhail with five titles each, Al Rayyan and Al Jaish with four titles each, Al Arabi with three titles, and Al Wakrah with one title.
