Doha:Al Gharafa secured a 2-0 victory against Qatar SC in Week 8 of the 2026-2027 Doha Bank Stars League at the Thani Bin Jassim Stadium on Friday.
According to Qatar News Agency, Algerian player Yacine Brahimi was instrumental in the win for Al Gharafa, scoring both goals in the 74th and 88th minutes of the match.
This victory marks Al Gharafa's second win of the league season, elevating their total points to nine. In contrast, Qatar SC suffered their fourth loss, maintaining their standing at six points. Brahimi's first goal came from a Dame Traore assist, which he converted with a long-range shot from outside the box. His second goal saw him skillfully dribble past defender Nasir Peer and beat the goalkeeper.
Earlier in the match, Qatar SC had an opportunity to score, but their efforts were thwarted by Al Gharafa's goalkeeper Khalifa Ababacar, who made a crucial save in the top left corner during the first half.
