Doha: Al Sadd announced Friday the absence of players Pedro Miguel and Algerian Youcef Atal due to injuries sustained during the team's last match against Irans Esteghlal in the second round of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Elite. In a statement, the club said that Miguel will be out for up to three months due to a hamstring injury. He has already undergone medical examinations and has begun a rehabilitation program to recover. The club also noted that Youcef Atal suffered a similar hamstring injury and is expected to be sidelined for 6 to 8 weeks before returning to team training. Al Sadd secured a 2-0 victory against Esteghlal in the match held at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Monday, moving up to third place in the West Zone standings of the AFC Champions League Elite Stage, with a total of 4 points.
