Post: Al Shamal Lands Tunisia International Mohamed Romdhane From Egypt’s Al Ahly

Doha: Al Shamal, last season's Qatar Stars League runners-up, announced on Sunday that it had signed Tunisia international Mohamed Ali ben Romdhane from Egyptian club Al Ahly.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Shamal confirmed that the Tunisian footballer had successfully passed his medical examination. Romdhane is now set to join the team's training sessions in preparation for the new season, which is scheduled to commence on August 20 with the first round of the Doha Bank Stars League.

Romdhane, 21, made his move to Al Ahly in the summer of 2025 from Hungarian club Ferencvarosi TC. During the 2025-26 season, he made 33 appearances across various competitions, scoring two goals and playing a crucial role in helping Al Ahly secure the Egyptian Super Cup title.

The forthcoming season holds particular significance for Al Shamal as they are set to make their historic debut in the AFC Champions League Elite. In addition to Romdhane, the club has bolstered its squad by signing Frenchman Wesley Said, Uruguayan Federico Bais, and Ibrahim Coulibaly.
