Doha: Horse "Al Wakrah" (by TM Fred Texas x Majida (Majd Al Arab)), owned and bred by Al Shaqb Racing, claimed its second consecutive win in the group category of the French Arabian Breeders' Challenge Sprint (Group 2). The race was held over 1,400 meters at the Bordeaux-Le Bouscat in France on Monday with the participation of seven horses over the age of four and above.
According to Qatar News Agency, the seven-year-old "Al Wakrah", under trainer Jean de Mieulle and jockey Olivier d'Andigne, won in a tight finish, with horses "Haseef" coming second and "Ghaidaa" securing third place. This victory marks the fifth win for "Al Wakrah" in group races, following previous successes in the UAE President Cup (Group 3) held at the San Sebastian racecourse in Spain, as well as in the Qatar International Cup (Group 1).
