Algiers: Chief of Staff of the Algerian Army, Lt. Gen. Said Chengriha on Friday discussed with Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Lt. Gen. Alexander Fomin, who is visiting Algeria, ways to enhance military and security cooperation between the two countries. The two sides also discussed, during a meeting today, a host of issues of common concern. According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions aimed at exploring opportunities to strengthen the military relationship between Algeria and Russia. Both countries are looking to bolster their security cooperation in light of regional and global challenges. The talks were part of a broader initiative to address shared concerns and improve bilateral ties in defense and security matters.
