Aman Center Wins ‘Kafa’ Award For Best Initiative To Combat Violence Against Women In Arab World

Kuwait City: The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), part of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has been honored with the Kafa Prize for the best initiative to combat violence against women in the Arab world. This accolade was bestowed for AMAN's women's support app during the 53rd International Conference of the Organization for Women's Empowerment and Capacity Building (Tamkeen), held in Kuwait in collaboration with the National Association for Combating Societal Violence.

According to Qatar News Agency, Fadl bin Mohammed AlKaabi, Acting Executive Director of AMAN, remarked on the significance of engaging in regional and international awards that spotlight innovative efforts in protection and empowerment. He reiterated the center's unwavering dedication to providing pioneering services and initiatives that aid women, children, and victims of violence and family disruption, aligning with technological progress and societal demands.

AlKaabi elaborated that the app is crafted to augment awareness of women's rights, streamline access to counseling services, and empower users to confront various forms of violence with awareness and confidence.

Director of Communication and Media at AMAN, Hanan Al Ali, expressed that receiving this award is a testament to the center's commitment to fostering community and international partnerships aligned with its mission. She emphasized AMAN's efforts in delivering protection and social rehabilitation for its target groups, with the objective of reintegrating them into their families and society through top-notch, impactful programs and services.
