Amir of Qatar Engages in Diplomatic Visit to Spain for UN Conference

Seville: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in Seville on Sunday to attend the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, organized by the United Nations. The visit was in response to an invitation from HM King Felipe VI and HM Queen Letizia of Spain.

According to Qatar News Agency, during his visit, HH the Amir met with HM King Felipe VI at the Royal Palace in Seville. The meeting took place on the sidelines of a dinner banquet held in honor of the attending heads of state and government. The event provided a platform for discussing international development financing strategies.

HH the Amir's participation at the conference underscores Qatar's commitment to global development initiatives. The conference brought together leaders from various nations to explore strategies for financing sustainable development goals.

In addition to his diplomatic visit to Spain, HH the Amir also extended his congratulations to HE President of the Republic of Seychelles Wavel Ramkalawan on the anniversary of Seychelles' Independence Day. Similarly, other high-ranking Qatari officials, including the Deputy Amir and the Prime Minister, sent their congratulatory messages to the Seychelles President.

Meanwhile, other developments in Qatar included the launching of the Qatar Foundation's Alumni Chapter for the UK and the start of the Shafallah Center's summer program for persons with disabilities. The Community College of Qatar also launched the third phase of its national initiative, Academic Cadres 2025-2026, aimed at enhancing academic excellence.

Additionally, Qatar University Press announced the release of a new book titled "Geopolitics: Theories, Strategies, and Applications" by Dr. Emad Y. Kaddorah, contributing to the nation's academic and intellectual growth.
