Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday received at his Yarze office, the UK's Senior Defense Advisor for the Middle East, Admiral Edward Ahlgren, in the presence of British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell. Major General Aoun also received the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa, with whom he discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as developments along the southern border. The army chief later received Mayor of Tripoli Riad Yamaq, with a delegation from the Municipal Council. The delegation hailed the role of the military institution and heaped praise on its efforts in maintaining security and stability in the northern city of Tripoli. Among Yarzeh's itinerant visitors for today had been the President of the Lebanese Athletics Federation, Roland Saade, and an accompanying delegation. Source: National News Agency - Lebanon
