Aston villa: Aston Villa have signed Swedish defender Victor Lindelof on a free transfer. In an official statement, the Premier League side said the Sweden national team captain, who has earned 71 international caps, has joined the club following his departure from Manchester United at the end of last season.
According to Qatar News Agency, the club did not disclose the duration of the contract for the 31-year-old. The Swedish defender spent eight years at Manchester United, during which he won both the EFL Cup and the FA Cup.
For his part, Lindelof expressed his delight at joining Aston Villa.
