Baku: The OIC Cultural Festival, known as Baku Creative Week 2025, is set to be launched in the Republic of Azerbaijan from December 5 to 11, 2025. The event is expected to attract nearly 300 guests from over 50 countries, emphasizing creativity, dialogue, and shared cultural values among OIC member states. According to Qatar News Agency, the festival will feature the participation of government officials, representatives from international organizations, and prominent figures in the scientific and cultural sectors. Experts in creative, theatrical, and media industries will also be present. A high-level meeting of culture ministers from OIC member states will take place alongside the festival. Additionally, a forum on cultural and innovative industries, as well as a program for international cinema and a summit on gaming technologies, are scheduled. The festival aims to strengthen collaboration among member states in the fields of culture, heritage, cinema, innovative industries, and digital media. It seeks to deepen communication and understanding while building cultural bridges between Azerbaijan and the world, particularly among member states. The program includes OIC Member States' Cinema Days, featuring films that promote intercultural dialogue and artistic exchange. The event will also showcase theatrical performances highlighting the heritage and creativity of member states. These performances will include works from Islamic cultures that emphasize traditional and aesthetic characteristics, showcasing the cultural diversity and creative expressions across OIC member states. Organized by the General Secretariat of the OIC and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the festival will provide a platform for thousands of invitees and participants from OIC member states and beyond. OIC institutions specializing in culture, heritage, and media will also participate, with booths to present their programs and products.
