Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office quickly issued a clarification, saying, "There is no change in the status quo at Al-Aqsa." Ben Gvir's talk about establishing a synagogue in Al-Aqsa sparked a storm and was attacked by all political factions, including elements in the Israeli government coalition. The first to respond to Minister Ben Gvir was Israeli Interior Minister Moshe Arbel. He said, 'Prime Minister Netanyahu must act immediately to replace Mr. Ben Gvir.'
