Boursa Kuwait Closes Higher Despite Mixed Performance Across Markets

Doha: Boursa Kuwait closed higher on Sunday, with its All Share Index gaining 6.42 points, or 0.07%, to settle at 8,693.82 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 237.9 million shares changed hands in 16,988 cash transactions worth KWD 62 million (approximately $201.7 million). The Main Market Index showed an increase of 91.37 points, or 1.05%, closing at 8,834.29 points. This was achieved with 142.6 million shares traded in 9,420 transactions, totaling KWD 24.2 million ($78.7 million).

Conversely, the Premier Market Index experienced a decline, falling 11.30 points, or 0.12%, to 9,115.14 points. This segment saw 95.2 million shares traded in 7,568 transactions, amounting to KWD 37.7 million ($120.3 million). Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index advanced by 97.22 points, or 1%, closing at 9,772.06 points. The trading volume for this index included 119.1 million shares in 6,766 transactions worth KWD 19.9 million ($64.7 million).
