Tripoli: HE Chairman of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Dr. Mohamed Al Menfi met with HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi in Tripoli on Wednesday. The discussion focused on cooperation relations between Libya and Qatar, as well as regional developments and several topics of common interest.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar's support for the unity and stability of Libya. He emphasized Qatar's commitment to supporting the political process and peaceful solutions that align with the aspirations of the Libyan people while preserving Libya's sovereignty.
The Minister underscored the importance of dialogue and supporting mediation and national reconciliation efforts that contribute to enhancing consensus among Libyans. He highlighted that Qatar will continue its communication with various Libyan parties and leaders to support international efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement.
HE Vice President of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Abdullah Al Lafi was also present at the meeting.
