China Launches Lijian-1 Y9 Carrier Rocket with Two Satellites

Doha: China on Sunday launched the Lijian-1 Y9 carrier rocket with two technical experiment satellites onboard. The rocket blasted off at 11:32 a.m. (Beijing Time) from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone near the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China. It successfully sent the satellites into the planned orbit.

According to Qatar News Agency, the launch represents a continuation of China's efforts to expand its capabilities in space technology. The Lijian-1 Y9 rocket is part of a series of launches aimed at enhancing China's presence in space-related activities and technological experiments. This mission underscores the strategic importance China places on developing its commercial space sector.
