Beijing: China, Russia, and Mongolia will conduct their second joint border defense exercise in early September, as announced by China's Ministry of National Defense.
According to Qatar News Agency, the exercise is code-named "Border Defense Cooperation 2026" and will focus on preventing and combating reconnaissance and sabotage activities in border areas. The plan includes joint planning, searches, coordinated strikes, and arrests, as well as the joint handover of suspects.
The primary objective of this exercise is to further strengthen strategic mutual trust among the three participating countries, deepen border defense cooperation, and jointly safeguard security and stability in border areas. This follows the first joint exercise of this nature conducted by the border defense forces of the three countries in September 2025.
