Caretaker Minister of Culture, Judge Muhammad Wissam Al-Murtada, addressed a congratutory message to the Lebanese this morning from the town of Ain al-Jadidah marking the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. He said: 'On the anniversary of her Dormition and her 'transition to life', the Virgin Mary looks with tearful eyes at the tragedies and massacres that are befalling her homeland, Palestine. She watches with a sad heart how today's world distorts the essence of the virtues she lived and embodied: purity, obedience, and supreme devotion." He added: "On this blessed anniversary, we renew our faith that the image of 'Our Lady' will remain the symbol that unites us, Muslims and Christians, on the virtues and values ??that render us, through their inspiration, to be true children of life." Al-Murtada concluded: 'Eid Mubarak to our people in the town of Ain al-Jadidah and to all Lebanese. May our souls be purified through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, and may the nation become more resilient th rough our awareness, unity, and commitment to the values ??of goodness and truth.'
