Doha: The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) has entered into a significant three-year funding agreement with Al Noor Center, set to span from 2026 to 2028. This collaboration aims to support the acquisition of specialized equipment and a crucial medical device for the center's vision clinic, enhancing the services provided to individuals with visual impairments.
According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement will see DAAM providing financial assistance to bolster the center's offerings. This support will include supplying advanced devices and technologies tailored for people with visual impairments, as well as equipping the vision clinic with a medical device to enhance examination and eye-care services.
Meshaal bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of Al Noor Center, expressed appreciation for the partnership with DAAM, stating that it will significantly strengthen the center's technical and medical capabilities. This collaboration is expected to empower individuals with visual impairments and improve the quality of services offered to them.
Yousef Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of Shared Services at DAAM, highlighted that this initiative aligns with the Third National Development Strategy. It aims to empower priority care groups, including those with visual impairments, and assist Al Noor Center in advancing its services to meet the needs of its beneficiaries.
This agreement underscores the roles of DAAM and Qatar Stock Exchange-listed companies in supporting social programs and sustainable development, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. Al Noor Center, part of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, is recognized as a leading institution in Qatar for rehabilitation and support for individuals with visual impairments. It is committed to promoting independence and active inclusion through specialized educational, rehabilitation, and social programs.
DAAM, established in 2010, has launched an array of cultural, social, sporting, and charitable projects. Contributions from companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange continue to be a crucial source of financing for the Fund, making these companies key partners in community development.
