Dar Al-Watad Director Re-Elected as First Vice President of Arab Publishers Association: Reflection of Qatar’s Esteemed Role in Publishing

Doha: Dar Al-Watad for Books and Publications' Director, Ibrahim Al Buhashim Al Sayed, has affirmed that his re-election as First Vice-President of the Arab Publishers Association for a second consecutive term highlights the esteemed position of Qatar within the publishing industry. This re-election underscores Qatar's significant development, active presence on the Arab stage, and its rich intellectual contributions across various cultural forums.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Buhashim expressed his profound happiness at being re-elected, emphasizing his commitment to supporting the Association's endeavors and enhancing prospects for joint Arab cooperation to advance the interests of Arab publishing.

Ibrahim Al Buhashim Al Sayed secured the position of First Vice President of the Arab Publishers Association during its eleventh session. The session also saw the election of Dr. Mohammed Rashad as President of the Association and Dr. Aisha Jassim Al Kuwari as Chair of the Arab Relations Committee.

These developments came during the elections of the Association's council. The first meeting of the newly formed Board of Directors was held today, subsequent to the elections on Monday. The elections also resulted in 16 new members being elected, including Dr. Aisha Jassim Al Kuwari, CEO of Rosa Publishing House, who secured a position on the Association's Board of Directors.
