Doha: The National Sport Day Committee has announced an extension of the deadline for participation in the 2025 National Sport Day Award. Interested parties from both the public and private sectors now have until the end of August to take part in this national initiative, which aims to promote healthy lifestyles across Qatari society. According to Qatar News Agency, the Committee emphasized the importance of organizing sports activities that align with the award's established criteria, activities that foster a safe and motivating sports environment and encourage the integration of physical activity into workplace culture. The Committee revealed that over 80 entities from across the public and private sectors have already confirmed their participation, organizing a variety of sporting and recreational events. This level of engagement reflects strong community interaction and underscores the collective effort to embed a culture of sports and wellness in society. Organizations are also encouraged to take adva ntage of the "Everyone's Summer of Sport 2025" program, either by joining events offered by the Sports for All Federation or by hosting their own indoor or park-based recreational and sports activities. The aim is to ensure year-round participation in sports within safe and comfortable environments while broadening community engagement. Participating entities are required to register their activities through the Ministry of Sports and Youth's website. Submissions will be evaluated no later than seven days before the start of the month following each event.
