Post: Department of Meteorology Issues Warning on Poor Visibility Due to Overnight Fog

Doha: Weather inshore tonight until 6:00 am on Wednesday will be humid and hazy, with conditions turning misty to foggy in places by late night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of poor horizontal visibility expected at places by late night.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will also be humid with occasional haze. Winds inshore are anticipated to be northeasterly to southeasterly at speeds ranging from 03 to 13 knots, becoming variable at less than 03 knots by late night. Offshore winds will be variable, mainly northeasterly to southeasterly, at speeds of 03 to 12 knots.

Sea state inshore is expected to be between 1 to 2 feet, while offshore conditions will range from 1 to 3 feet. Visibility inshore is projected to be between 04 to 09 kilometers, potentially reducing to 02 kilometers or less at certain locations by late night. Offshore visibility will maintain a range of 04 to 09 kilometers.

The report details tide timings and temperatures for various areas, including Doha, Dukhan, Mesaieed, Wakrah, Al Khor, Ruwais, and Abu Samra. High tide in Doha is expected at 18:12 and low tide at 02:04. The temperature across these areas will range from a minimum of 25 degrees to a maximum of 42 degrees. Sunrise is at 05:20 LT and sunset at 17:36 LT.
