Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning about poor horizontal visibility in its daily weather report, cautioning residents about misty to foggy conditions inshore until 6:00 pm on Wednesday. The forecast predicts hot to very hot daytime temperatures with occasional haziness, posing potential challenges for visibility at certain locations.
According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will also be misty to foggy at first, with periods of haziness. The report highlights that poor horizontal visibility may occur initially. Inshore winds are expected to be variable at first, shifting to southeasterly-northeasterly at speeds of 05-15 KT. Offshore, winds will be mainly southeasterly-northeasterly at 02-12 KT, eventually transitioning to northwesterly later in the day.
The sea state is expected to remain relatively calm, with inshore wave heights ranging from 1-2 feet and offshore wave heights from 1-3 feet. Visibility inshore could range from 4-9 kilometers, dropping to 2 kilometers or less in certain areas initially. Offshore visibility is projected to be 4-9 kilometers, with potential reductions to 1 kilometer or less at the start of the day.
