Director General of Daman Highlights Qatar National Day as a Pledge Renewal to Serve the Nation

Doha: HE Director General of the General Authority for Retirement and Social Insurance (Daman) Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi has affirmed that Qatar National Day is a cherished national occasion to renew pride in the history of the state's founding by the late Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, and to recall the meanings of loyalty, belonging, and national unity.

According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency highlighted the significance of National Day, quoting HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, "With You It Rises, From You It Awaits." He emphasized that Daman renews its pledge to serve the nation, safeguard the retirement and insurance rights of citizens, and strengthen the social protection system, thereby contributing to supporting social stability and sustainable development.

He explained that the Authority continues to develop its services, raise the efficiency of its performance, and consolidate confidence in the social insurance system, in line with the state's directives and Qatar National Vision 2030. He noted that National Day contributes to strengthening unity around a single national vision based on serving citizens, preserving achievements, and ensuring the sustainability of resources for future generations.

He noted that Daman materializes these values into practice by simplifying procedures, improving customer experience, developing digital channels, enhancing governance, transparency, and institutional discipline, in addition to expanding partnerships with relevant entities.

He pointed out that the most prominent achievements of the Authority during the current year included launching the new corporate strategy and identity, adopting the name "Daman" as a unified identifier, developing the "Safwa" program to enhance the benefits offered to retirees, and launching the "Daman" mobile application as part of a more integrated digital experience.

He added that the Authority relies on modern technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance performance efficiency and accelerate digital transformation, while raising cybersecurity readiness and data quality, which contributes to improving the speed and accuracy of services.

He said that "Daman" oversees the investments of the civil and military pension funds, valued at QR 129.4 billion by 2025, with 91,965 insured individuals. It oversees the affairs of 37,768 retirees.

Concluding his statement to QNA, HE Director General of the General Authority for Retirement and Social Insurance (Daman) Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi revealed that the next phase will focus on enhancing customer experience, promoting insurance awareness, and developing services provided to retirees, in line with the principles of financial sustainability and good governance.
