According to Qatar News Agency, Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins outlined their preparations, stating that they began with a recovery phase during the first two days of training before resuming regular sessions. Martins emphasized the positive spirit among the players and their good physical condition, asserting their readiness for the match against Lusail. He acknowledged the importance of the upcoming match, noting Lusail's impressive debut season and strong start. Martins stressed the need for utmost focus due to Lusail's strong squad.
For Lusail, coach Emanuel Mesquita highlighted their goal to maintain the form shown in previous matches and build on their momentum following a 4-0 victory over Al Wakrah in the last round.
