Doha: Qatar SC battled to a 1-1 draw against Al Rayyan in the concluding Week 4 match of the 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Saturday. In what turned out to be a thrilling 11 minutes of stoppage time, Ali Saoudi produced a blazing header in the 90+11 minute for Qatar SC to equalize after Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic had fired in a goal in the 90+1 minute for The Lions. According to Qatar News Agency, with a point gained, Qatar SC stood second in the standings with 10 points, while Al Rayyan moved up to seven points in fourth. The match provided a large crowd with a lot of excitement. In the 50th minute, an own goal by Qatar SC's Nasir Baksh off a cross from Al Rayyan's Roger Guedes was ruled out for offside by VAR. In the 77th minute, a Guedes kick went past a defender and the goalkeeper but across and past the left post. The Lions rejoiced when Mitrovic fired in home from top of the box off a Guedes assist, but it was short-lived as Qatar SC's Saoudi stormed i n a fine Brazilian Yan Mateus free-kick to level the score.
