Doha: Al Rayyan beat Al Sailiya 3-1 in Week 12 of the 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Grand Hamad Stadium of Al Arabi club on Tuesday.
According to Qatar News Agency, Roger Guedes scored twice for Al Rayyan, with his goals coming in the 45+1 minute and the 86th minute. David Garcia had earlier opened the scoring for Al Rayyan in the 23rd minute with a left-footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom right corner following a corner kick.
Garcia's opening goal was initially disallowed due to an infringement detected in the build-up but was later awarded after a VAR review. Al Sailiya managed to score a consolatory goal through Khalid Ali in the 65th minute. With this victory, Al Rayyan moved to 20 points, solidifying their place in the top four of the league standings. Al Sailiya, on the other hand, remained on eight points.
