Post: Doha to Host 2026 Asian Men’s Emerging Teams Cricket Cup Featuring Eight Teams

Doha:The city of Doha is set to host the 2026 Asian Men's Emerging Teams Cricket Cup from November 19 to 29. The tournament will feature eight teams competing for the continental title.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event is organized by the Qatar Cricket Association under the supervision of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Matches will take place at the West End International Cricket Stadium and Doha University of Science and Technology Stadium. The competition structure includes two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals.

Group A consists of Pakistan Shaheens, India A, Nepal, and the UAE, while Group B includes Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A, and Hong Kong, China. Nepal and the UAE secured their spots through the Men's Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament held in Malaysia earlier this year.

The tournament's group stage is scheduled from November 19 to 24, with a notable match between Pakistan and India on November 22. Semifinals will occur on November 26 and 27, culminating in the final on November 29 at the West End International Cricket Stadium.

Doha's hosting of the tournament underscores its expanding role as a hub for major international sporting events, bolstered by its facilities, infrastructure, and organizational expertise.
