Post: Dollar Maintains Strength Amid Market Volatility

Doha:The dollar remained close to a two-month high on Tuesday, bolstered by fluctuating oil prices and a swift rise in Treasury yields, although its gains were tempered as traders anticipated upcoming U.S. data to gauge the Federal Reserve's future rate decisions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the euro was near its weakest point in three months, trading at $1.1367, following signals from the European Central Bank's chief regarding gradual measures to tackle inflation.

Meanwhile, the British pound remained stable at $1.3248, also nearing a three-month low. The dollar index, which compares the U.S. currency to a group of major peers, edged slightly higher to 101.2 and was on track for a 1.8% increase this month, marking its strongest performance since June.

In other currencies, the Australian dollar and the New Zealand dollar both declined by 0.1%, trading at $0.7013 and $0.5660, respectively. The Japanese yen saw a slight decrease to 157.40 per dollar, partially reversing Monday's gains. The offshore yuan showed little change, standing at 6.71 per dollar.
