Doha: HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, arrived in Doha on Wednesday to offer condolences on the passing of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. His Royal Highness's visit underscores the close ties between the United Kingdom and Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, upon arrival at Hamad International Airport, the Duke of Edinburgh and his accompanying delegation were received by HE Director of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim bin Yousif Fakhro and HE Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the State of Qatar Neerav Patel. The visit highlights the respect and regard between the two nations during this period of mourning.
