Doha: Education Above All (EAA) Foundation celebrated the outstanding achievements of Assalam Schools students during the 2025-2026 academic year, reflecting advanced levels of academic excellence, distinction in scientific, cultural, and sports competitions, and meaningful participation in national and community initiatives that promote values, identity, and belonging.
According to Qatar News Agency, the EAA Foundation stated that these achievements align with its mission to support access to inclusive, quality education and empower students to continue their learning journey in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment that enables them to develop their skills, discover their potential, and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
The Foundation highlighted that this year's national secondary examination results reflected strong academic performance by Assalam Schools students, with 32 students achieving scores of 90% and above, including 15 students who scored 95% or higher. Waqar Yasser Abdullah from The Second Assalam School topped the list of high-achieving students with a score of 99.25%, followed by Amin Abdul Razzaq Al Fael from The Fifth Assalam School with 99.13%, and Mohammed Ammar Mubarak Mohammed with 99.06%. These results underscore the students' perseverance and the quality of educational support they received.
Noora Al Sulaiti, Together Project Director at EAA Foundation, expressed pride in the students' achievements, noting that they reflect not just academic excellence but also the positive outcomes that can be achieved with the right learning environment and sustained support. She emphasized the importance of investing in inclusive education and the power of education to open new horizons for students, enabling them to build a better future.
Assalam Schools' successes extended beyond examination results, achieving notable recognition at both national and international levels. The Third Assalam School gained distinguished academic recognition through Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International qualifications, with Ali Kenawy receiving the Top in the World award in Arabic and the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Award for Integrated Sciences.
In addition, Juvairiya Kunhabdulla, Maths Coordinator at The Third Assalam School, was shortlisted for the 2026 Pearson International School Teacher Awards in the Teacher of the Year category, recognizing her excellence, innovation, and impact in education.
Assalam Schools students also excelled in health and innovation. Students from The First and Second Assalam Schools won the Back to School awareness competition organized by the Primary Health Care Corporation, reflecting their awareness and excellence in promoting health messages. The First Assalam School received a special award under UNESCO's Youth Innovation Programme for its leadership in sustainable innovation and water conservation.
In community initiatives, students from The Second Assalam School won first place in the Destination Imagination program organized by AlFaisal Without Borders Foundation. The school also secured third place in the "Plant Your Nation" initiative, highlighting its commitment to promoting environmental protection and social responsibility.
Assalam Schools also made significant contributions to national and cultural initiatives, organizing activities that promote identity, belonging, and cultural diversity. Notably, The Fifth Assalam School organized a Culture Day showcasing students' cultures and nationalities with participation from ambassadors and senior figures.
In values and identity, Assalam Schools achieved recognition under the "My Values Shape My Identity" project, with various awards reflecting the schools' success in embedding values and national identity while encouraging character building and social responsibility.
In sports, Assalam Schools students achieved numerous accomplishments, including a silver medal in Athletics (Shotput), first place in karate, and reaching the quarter-finals in football. Students participated in tournaments and sporting activities like the Ooredoo Doha Marathon, fostering teamwork and self-confidence.
