Egypt and EU Conduct Political Consultations

Cairo: A round of political consultations was held today between Egypt and the European Union. The Egyptian side was headed by Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, while the European side was led by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. Both parties engaged in discussions on bilateral relations and examined regional and international developments of mutual interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Foreign Minister highlighted the significance of the EU's involvement in ensuring the implementation of the second phase of US President Donald Trump's plan for the Gaza Strip. He underscored the necessity for the delivery of sufficient and unrestricted humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the Gaza Strip's residents, particularly in light of the harsh winter conditions. This emphasis was conveyed through a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
