Doha: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Nigerian counterpart, Yusuf Tuggar, discussed Sunday via phone the regional developments and emerging issues across the African continent, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
According to Qatar News Agency, the two ministers emphasized the need to bolster joint African action in light of growing challenges facing the continent, including political and humanitarian crises and transnational threats.
They also underscored the importance of continued consultation and coordination within the African Union to advance regional stability and serve the interests of African nations. The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation between Egypt and Nigeria in regional and international forums, and to expanding their partnership in the pursuit of sustainable development and peace across Africa.
