Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, discussed, in a phone call today, the latest developments in the Gaza Strip in addition to ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian presidency stated that the call focused on Egypt's intensive efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Both leaders emphasized the importance of delivering adequate and appropriate humanitarian aid to the people of the Strip.
During the conversation, both sides stressed the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
