Emirates resumes flights to Argentina

HE Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi, Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Argentina, met with HE Salem Obaidullah, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for the Americas region at Emirates Airlines, and on the Argentine side, HE Ramiro Orduki, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Economic Negotiations, HE Paola Tamborelli, Director of Civil Aviation, and HE Oscar Suarez, Director International Markets at the Ministry of Tourism, on the occasion of Emirates Airlines resuming its operations to the Republic of Argentina as of November 2, 2022, after a hiatus of about two and a half years due to the repercussions of the Covid-19 virus.

In this regard, His Excellency Al Qamzi stressed that the return of Emirates Airlines will contribute to enhancing the movement of tourism, trade and investment between the two friendly countries and exploiting the huge potential and great opportunities that abound in the two countries, by providing easy transportation for businessmen, investors and tourists on board the fastest growing and most developed carriers in the world. .

His Excellency pointed out that trade exchanges between the two countries witnessed a significant increase over the past year to exceed $1.111 billion, and that the resumption of Emirates Airlines’ operations will enhance the growth of economic and trade relations between the two countries.

Obaidullah confirmed that Emirates will operate four weekly flights to Buenos Aires via Rio de Janeiro, providing customers in Argentina and Brazil with direct connectivity to major business and leisure destinations across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
