Post: European Stocks Little Changed Amid Hormuz Uncertainty

London: European stocks were little changed on Monday, amid continued uncertainty over the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as investors looked ahead to a busy week of economic data. The pan-European STOXX 600 index held at 660.12 points, maintaining its position after a 1.7 percent rise last week, which culminated in a record high closure on Friday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Europe's energy sector experienced a 0.5 percent increase, with Brent crude futures rising 0.6 percent to USD 83.98 a barrel. The technology sector also contributed to the gains, with a 0.7 percent rise. Conversely, media stocks saw a decline of 0.7 percent.

Additionally, shares of Caledonia Mining saw a 1.6 percent increase following the company's announcement of a 16 percent rise in its second-quarter profit.
