First Group 1 Triumph for RB Mary Lylah at La Teste in France

Doha: Wathnan Racing's RB Mary Lylah, a mare by Al Mourtajez and Rich Kinkga, secured her first Group 1 victory in the Liwa International Stakes ' Wathba Stallions at La Teste in France. This marks a significant milestone for the 5-year-old mare, who has proven her capabilities on the international racing stage.

According to Qatar News Agency, RB Mary Lylah is already a celebrated contender, having clinched triple Group 2 wins in the US, including the Texas Arabian Derby, Darley Sprint Stakes, and Texas Arabian Stallion Stakes. Under the guidance of trainer Alban de Mieulle and the skillful riding of O. d'Andigne, she has also claimed victory in the Purebred Arabian Oaks in Qatar, enhancing her reputation as a formidable competitor.

In the recent race, Al Shaqab Racing's Norma Al Maury, trained by X. Thomas-Demeaulte and ridden by Aurelien Lemaitre, secured the second position. Meanwhile, Bianca De Ghazal, a filly owned by Nasser bin Abdullah Al Misnad, also under the training of X. Thomas-Demeaulte and ridden by Faleh Bughanaim, finished in third place.
