Five Palestinians Martyred in Israeli Shelling of Several Areas in Gaza Strip

Gaza: Five Palestinians were martyred and others injured in Israeli shelling Wednesday on several areas in Gaza, and its continued targeting of aid recipients in the Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources reported that a girl was martyred after being shot in the head inside her tent in the Asdaa area, northwest of Khan Yunis, on the southern Gaza Strip. Suleiman al-Obeid, a former Palestinian national football team player, was martyred by Israeli gunfire north of Rafah, in the south.

Another resident of the city succumbed to wounds he sustained in a shelling a few days earlier. At least one Palestinian was also martyred, and others were injured, when Israeli aircraft targeted a group of aid workers near the Al Tawam roundabout, northwest of Gaza City.

Hamad Hospital reported that one person was martyred, and 18 others were injured as a result of aid boxes falling during an airdrop in the northern Gaza Strip. Earlier Wednesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that ambulance crews and citizens had transferred 13 martyrs to the Baptist Hospital.

The martyrs were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. The Ministry noted that the death toll from the ongoing war on the Strip, which has lasted for nearly 23 months, has risen to 61,158 martyrs, in addition to 151,442 wounded.
