Al shamal: Al Shamal's 21-year-old Mohammed Omar starred with a goal and an assist as the side beat Al Ahli 2-0 in their opening match of the 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League at the Khalifa International Stadium on Thursday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the league's official website stated in its match report that Omar scored in the 88th minute while Mohamed Manai struck earlier in the 40th minute with a fine side flick. It was a first win of the new season for Al Shamal, who had finished sixth in the previous season while Al Ahli were fourth.
Mohammed Omar was also named Man of the Match.
