Cairo, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today with Josep Borrell Fontelles, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, on the sidelines of the 162nd session of the Arab League Council of Foreign Ministers. During the meeting, the two sides highlighted Bahrain-EU relations in various sectors and means to advance them further. The two sides discussed preparations for the upcoming EU-Gulf Cooperation Council summit in Brussels, alongside regional and international developments. The meeting also discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip, addressing Arab and international efforts to achieve a ceasefire, protect civilians, ensure the release of hostages and detainees, and expedite the provision of humanitarian and relief aid.
