Manama, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom. The meeting discussed the strong relations between the two countries, focusing on political, economic, commercial, and development cooperation. They reviewed means to advance collaboration in areas of common interest. The meeting also addressed regional developments, including the war in Gaza and Lebanon, the escalation between conflicting parties, and the Arab and international efforts for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, reducing tension and escalation, addressing the humanitarian situation, delivering relief aid to the civilian population and displaced persons, and advancing efforts to establish a just and comprehensive peace in the region. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Shaikh Abdulla bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ambassador Sa eed Abdulkhaliq Saeed, Head of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector; Alastair Long, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain; and the delegation accompanying the British Secretary of State.
