Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, engaged in discussions on Monday with Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), Deemah AlYahya, focusing on ways to enhance cooperation between the two organizations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting centered on reviewing the latest developments in their memorandum of understanding. The dialogue aimed at bolstering collaboration in digital transformation, developing technological infrastructure, and supporting digital innovation to contribute to sustainable development and boost the digital economy in GCC countries.
The discussions also explored supporting joint initiatives to advance digital innovation, develop technological infrastructure, and stimulate the digital economy. This would be achieved by coordinating efforts and exchanging knowledge between the GCC countries and DCO member states.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their eagerness for more constructive cooperation in the future, which would help achieve shared objectives and strengthen their roles in technology and digital innovation.
