GCC and US Officials Discuss Strengthening Regional Security and Cooperation

Doha: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, received a phone call from the Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, Christopher Landau. During the conversation, both officials discussed the latest regional developments and issues of mutual interest, exchanging insights on these matters.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation also focused on ways to enhance strategic relations between the GCC and the United States through joint working groups across different fields. Both Albudaiwi and Landau underlined the importance of ongoing joint coordination and increased efforts to support security and stability in the region. This collaboration aims to serve mutual interests and foster enhanced cooperation opportunities between the two parties.

Additionally, Albudaiwi reiterated the GCC's commitment to strengthening its international partnerships, especially with the United States, to further cement the alliance and address regional challenges effectively.
