Kuwait city: The State of Qatar participated in the 74th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of Finance Ministries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), convened in the State of Kuwait. The State of Qatar was represented by a delegation led by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance Khalaf bin Ahmed Al Mannai, alongside Their Excellencies undersecretaries from GCC member states.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, Their Excellencies the undersecretaries discussed a range of pivotal topics, including the outcomes of the meetings of the Committee of Central Banks Governors, the Customs Union Authority, and the GCC Common Market Committee. They underscored the importance of continued coordination to bolster economic and developmental integration among member states.
The session also discussed the latest developments in the negotiations of free trade agreements between the GCC and other countries and international blocs, as well as the program for achieving economic unity among GCC countries by 2025. A number of other issues of mutual interest to the GCC states were also addressed.
